I think Garrett has it right. I see what your saying, but with foams at least.. the actual, theoretical correct way doesnt work.
Personally, I eyeball it... pick up the car at the tower, it even has a center point for ease.. and adjust by which tire lifts first.
Also-- when doing this, this way.. start by backing out the droop screws, then setting ride height.. then take it to a tweak station, THEN turn your droop screws in.. and the car should be pretty reliable.
