My bad. Wasn't thinking properly when I wrote the post on gear ratios....Edited my original post it should read
FDR DOWN --> top speed up, acceleration and run time down, motor temp up
FDR UP -->top speed down, acceleration and run time up, motor temp down

Will now try take off some of that drag brake and learn to coast earlier into a corner once it stops raining...
