R40 - I think that spacing the servo properly off of the radio tray is the most important part of keeping the servos alive. Glad to hear it's working well for you.
MonkeyWrench - I can't imagine trying to engineer a servo to handle the duty of what we ask them to do in an R/C car, especially an 1/8th scale buggy!
