Sorry for the slow reply... been off-line.
My Novak regulator is tucked into the receiver compartement. It would actually fit better in the battery compartment, but the wiring would have been more difficult. I like to unplug my Lipo whenever I'm not running the car. With the battery in the back and the next component (the regulator) in the receiver compartment, I could put a plug between them that sits next to the throttle servo.
And Lipos are 3.7 volts/cell nominal I believe, but when fully charged they are 4.2 volts/cell.
