The argument can be made that the CX12R2N is one of Novarossi's best and most gas-truck-friendly .12's ever made. With that said, the MT12 has held a strong standing in the racing world for a long time. Racers have learned tricks over the years, like gearing up (to a 19 tooth clutch bell), turning their EPA down, running the engine rich, using carb restrictors, etc. I've always been a fan of the philosophy that it's better to have the power and not use it, than to need it and not have it. Use that engine as a training tool for your throttle finger, and learn to control the power you have on tap. It will make you a better driver for every car and engine combination you ever pick up.
