capricess-this is the best explanation I can come-up with-I hope it makes sense!!! Put your car on four scales. Place a welght on the rear shock tower and see what all four scales read. Now place that same weight somewhere else on the chassis-say further forward. Now read what all four scales read. They should all read different numbers now. Think of the body-and also the wind going over the body as weight (i.e. downforce). Thats why I say it will affect handling-but as I said-just changing body styles (Startus to Lexus or sedan to GTP car) or moving the same body forward or back a 1/2" can drastically affect handling!!!
