Started building the Evo3 last night...so far so good about 75% done. Shocks and universals are left to be built. Tamiya shocks are the easiest to build so I will leave them until the end.

The most striking feature of the car is the use of titanium colored aluminium parts along with a few blue spacers to highlight certain areas of the car...very nice. The propeller shaft is titanium colored and looks good but a blue shaft would have been even better The aluminium shocks are also titanium colored.

The drive train is very smooth ... as smooth as my Alex Racing Barracuda, once you soak the bearings.

The main issue I found was the drag in the metal shielded bearings...soaking the bearings in WD40 for 1 hour and blasting them with motor spray soon made them very smooth. I noticed Tamiya are releasing a blue bearing kit for the Evo3 as well but if you soak the kit bearings, they should work just as well.

The chassis seems to be stiff, there is a small hint of sideways flex but nothing unusual.

Looking good so far
