elnitro: There are several online shops that have decent prices for the 414M2. Depending on where you live, you may be able to get a decent price at your local hobby shop.
Ultimate Hobbies list the price as $269.99 in the January 2003 Radio Control Car Action magazine. However, their web site list the price as $259.99! Ultimate is located in Orange County, CA
R/C Car Kings list a price of $259.99 in the same issue. I don't know where they're located.
Last, Tower as well as many other catalog retailers will "price match" advertised prices. You could try to get Tower to match the price, then take advantage of their $15 off any item over $150.00. If it works, that would make the cost of a 414M2 $244.99 based on the lowest advertised price. I don't know if Tower will go that far though.
Almost forgot: Speedtech R/C's price is $264.99. I personally recommend their services!
