For 12th scale one way to make the F Brush stellar is to build a motor with them. Run them in a pactice run then bring the motor back and skim the comm. Break it in for 300 seconds at 2 volts and they run it over and over....It will be fast and not fall off. Plus with the sharp edges of the serrations gone it will not chew up the comm. You should be able to get 6-10 runs in 12th scale like that.
