wouldn't it be just easier to buy the Ti cvds?
Yea, zombies, I'm with ya. I've already ordered 2 sets. I approached these guys, 'cause they discard or recycle enough titanium in one day to supply all of us with a couple sets of CVDs. All I can say is that they are a US Navy defense contractor. There's just no way I could have snuck something onto the production floor without the managers and engineers knowing about it. Hell, I wrote the software that alerts them to changes in machine queues and manufacturing schedules.
But I'm curious. What were their ideas on the drivetrain?
These guys were on the path to the
bone type axles found in something like the HPI Sprint. It's already been done, but they don't know that. The difference in size and weight of the two CVD axle ends had them rubbing their beards.
I just grabbed my chassis, and let me friend know that if he wanted his business name on my car, then it was going to cost him some titanium CVDs!
