I agree with Jack.Tune to win is a good Race Engineering book, although now a little dated it does describe allot of geometry effects in laymens terms.
You also have to remember that most of it is referring to RWD sportscars, 4wd introduces different Dynamics. But it is a good source to understand changes in Roll Centres / geometry etc etc.
