Is there a solution to the bevel gears stripping when using a spool? I use a diff at the moment in 19t and would like to buy a spool, only to hear so many bad things about how they strip gears.

They have aluminum input shafts with the 16t bevel gear. About $17 bucks.
Also, Square or Jet make the 32t aluminum bevel gear for the front.
You should be good to go with that installed up front using a spool.
