I have raced a 2s 13.5/blinky car and thought it was fine: mod-fast, but not insane. It was also cheap and easy to set up.

I don't get why this video was celebrated as a big IFMAR takedown. It wasn't remotely representative of the proposed spec. Did anyone actually need to "test" a boosted low-turn mod car with a 2s battery to prove it wouldn't be race-worthy?

Sadly, I think a potentially good idea was written off prematurely. Yes, LRP proposed it, and sure, maybe there was self-interest in it. So what? Are we incapable of taking that on board while still giving the idea fair consideration? Every good idea usually comes with some person's or company's self-interest attached.
