I use 48P with my USGT car. Less likely to strip. Easier to mesh. Less fine tuning capabilities.
Glad to see that I am not the only one running 48P gears in this car. My LHS doesn't carry the Tamiya-pitch gears and it seems to be a bear to get them in (if ordered).
