new rules are now being used for Lipo/Lihv batteries at Hobbytown, batteries especially for spec classes are random teched prior to heats/mains. 8.44v is the maximum allowed. just like racers a year ago (prior to Lihv) charged certain brand Lipo's along with certain brand chargers to 8.7v (4.35v per cell), recently from what i understand some racers have figured out or been messing with Lihv's charged to 9-10v.
