I get it with a sedan. But on my F1's, I have run short stacks, been as fast as most and did not need a fan. Why add weight when you don't need it ? I am asking to understand why ? Do these motors run hotter than most others ? Hoping to get input from someone who has run F1's with these new motors to have a better understanding.

Unless your motor is coming off at room temp then you will always benefit from a fan being used. As a motor heats up its resistance builds and makes it slow down. The cooler you can keep the motor (any motor) the better it will run the latter part of a race.
