I have just ordered the new HW Exerun XR8 SCT 1/8 esc for my 2.0 and will match it to the new HW 4300kv 550 motor, people I have talked to rekon this combo is a great combo for most sct's especially the losi!
I am currently borrowing a mates Teken setup at the mo(RX8, pro 4 4300kv) and running a 15t pinion on a mid to open track med grip, would this gearing still suit the HW?

If you plan to race you will want the 4300 in the 3652 540 1/10 motor.
Running the 3660 motor will make the truck have an over abundantly right side weight bias that will unbalance the chassis and force you to run more preload on the springs on the right side of the truck to keep things leveled out. Besides, it's completely unnecessary to run anything more than a 540 4 pole on the super light SCTE platform.
Also the new 3652 G2 motor has now been ROAR approved making your truck completely legal for such events.
And yes, a 15t pinion will be a perfect starting point with that motor.
