I have a 96T spur and a 35T pinion and the space is huge.
I'm gonna have to return it. Is there a specific type of motor I need to order? I now realize I'm gonna need a motor with chamfered edges. I was hoping to do this on a budget to get my feet wet and have some fun, then go with something much nicer later on.
Just wanted to give an update with motor. I decided to keep the motor because shipping was too expensive. I ended up marking where the motor hits the upper deck and filed the corner of the motor to fit. It fits great now. I just need to get some new spur gears because my 39T pinion is the only one that meshes/seats well on the 96T spur. Got it powered up last night and I have some tweaking to do before she hits the streets of NH!
Thanks for all the help and support!
