Keeps the body from affecting chassis flex as much, but holds it up in case of a crash.
More so that driver prefer the cleaner look and convenience of not having body posts.
The CF servo/ antenna mount was specifically designed to make it easy to dremel off the antenna mount and have it look OEM after its dremeled.
