I used the 22 xrings on the 2.0 shocks with extra spacers. It worked ok for a while, but the seals didn't seem to be the way to. They required lot of effort to find sweet spot where they didn't leak or bind up. Really best to just buy the 2.0 seals or move on to the 22 style shocks.
If you keep boots on the 2.0 in good repair the seals can last over a year.
