What I have done with the standard Bezerk carbon stays though, is to shim them up 1mm. This lets me run touring car style thin hook-and-loop straps, which clear the rear belt tensioner just fine, and eliminate the Y-shaped battery stay. It does seem to add a fair amount of flex to the car.
