Essentially what I was trying to say was, the instructions call for the use of both the large white o-ring and paper gasket on the diff. I never install the o-ring and only use the paper gasket. Doing this has kept my diffs from leaking after a lot of use. I can't explain the exact reason why the addition of the o-ring seems to increase the likelyhood that the diff could leak, but I've had good success leaving it out Hopefully that was the information you were seeking.
