Where is the follow up to IIC?
I was there and watched. It was nice to see the cars with a little more control than the previous rules, but I do not feel the 6.5t is the right way to go. Not sure if the IFMAR 2s is right either but I want to see it in action before I condemn it.
I can give you some insight as to why IFMAR is looking to 2s.
#1 easier to operate all the electronics in the car with higher voltage. At the WC there were many cars going out of control due to Rxs dropping voltage. Also over heat was a major issue again leading to cars running out of control. This occurred during the TC part as well so not limited to 1s.
#2 Less runtime in the battery, you will have to motor down.
I wish we could have tried running a car at IIC with the 2s battery but sadly no one had any available.
Sean you are right with the cars were more under control, but the 6.5 blinky class reintroduced the stock finger. because no real throttle control was required on the black carpet. unlike to open mod.
I think that the 2S way will eventually take the motor of the week thing out of stock 1/12. instead 17.5/13.5 it will be 25.5 and
21.5.
