You can't balance it (what would you balance? It only has one cell!).

But if you use that in saddle packs, you need to balance them as a pair, otherwise one pack will have more charge and will have to "support" the other one in use.

You balance them by connecting them together when charging, just like normal multi-cell packs, jump wire to midpoint plug.
