To give an update on this issue, I still found slop in the steering after a couple session. There is to much play in the Sport3's oem servo saver, this was the issue in my case at least. With the servo centered I can move it left to right, in each direction before feel resistance from the servo. I just replaced it completely with one of the Horizon billet aluminum servo horns ($7), and the steering is now rock solid. @GuyIsDamGood", most definitely. Fortunately this car is being built for a local flat rally course so I shouldn't have to worry about kissing any curbs or doing any jumps.
