I was all set to pull the trigger on the TB EVO 6 MS but after reading into it I have concerns about the additional gear box that's needed to run the transverse motor negating the efficiency of the shaft drive power train.

Plan B was to get a TA-07 Pro with some extensive option parts but I liked the fact that the TB was shaft drive and came pretty well equipped out of the box.

I'm a regular off-road driver who is looking to get back into on-road for a change of pace, so I won't be able to push either option to its limit. I just want to make sure I don't choose a chassis that is completely wrong for VTA.
I occasionally race my Evo6 MS in 17.5 class and it's fantastic. I have also tried it in 21.5 with the same results. I don't really think the EXO conversion will do wonders for you on the VTA class. even with the additional gear, the car rolls very smoothly with almost no drag (as opposed to my belt driven mod touring car). If later on you think of racing on 17.5T, I think the Exo conversion will help the car turn faster and maintain speed mid corner better than the stock configuration.
