4 pole have more torque and will pull more amps as a result. Yes this will strain your system more. 550 2 pole will actually have better top end and good for larger tracks.
So you talked about amp draw but what about lap times?
Also Tekin new 255 software allow you to control torque much better and I love the feel of the new software with the stronger 4 pole motors.
