Just picked up and built the car. New to on-road so I know things will happen, but these ball cups are pretty weak. Lightly touched a pipe at TQ yesterday a couple of times, and each time the turnbuckles shoved all the way in on the ball cup. Is there another manufacturers ball ends I can use in the meantime while I am trying to get this thing tuned, and setup?
Crazy to hear! Any tc I've ever owned I've converted to the yoke ball cups (if ball stud size allowed). They're typically very strong and from what I've seen take the most abuse and stay tightest longest. Hopefully you just got an "off" batch.
