My personal opinion is that the FFG is a good upgrade, but yes, Klingforth has been successful with the L cars. They are competitive either way really. You do have some options - if you're interested in trying an FFG, one possibility is find a used EVO here in the classifieds. You can transfer the parts to your L car and have a bunch of spares left. Used A700's have been selling for decent prices.
