I've been following the JConcepts thread and it sounds like they invested heavily in their 61mm molds (I think their last 6 or so new tires were 61mm) and now people are demanding 2.2s. AKA's last 2 1/10th buggy tires have been the 2.2 chain link and cross link.
Can't believe old 2.2's may be the new kool-aide.
i was looking at JC tires, guess some, appear from text on amainhobby site they work on 2 sets of rims
"The Diamond Bar carcass has been designed to work on either standard 2.2” or the larger 61mm / 2.4” wheels. The tire comes as is ready to mount as 2.2”, but by trimming the bead it can fit onto 61mm / 2.4” wheels. Bead trimming should only be performed by an expert"
