I just have to say I wish a kit like this were around when I started (in 2000). Very low cost of entry to get a kit you can easily build on as your experience grows.
~$100 kit
~$100 Decent Radio System
~$120 ESC & Motor
~$60 Couple of cheap LiPos
~$50 Body and Tires
About $450 to get started, once you factor in some tools, misc accessories. Not bad for these days.
