I think you need to go back to totally box stock set-up and work from there. I have not changed anything in my truck since the day I bought it, except for the MIP transmission and I am REALLY tempted to put a 4 gear back in it just to try it because when I went back from 3 gear to 4 gear in my SC5M the truck went from junk to amazing with no other changes. I run an 8.5 in both of my trucks and never once felt as though it was too much motor, and never struggled with rear grip. I run Proline M4 Primes with sauce on both trucks.
