Unless you were running your timing at 0, you are WAY over-geared. I run 74/24-25 in my Fantom Trinity based motor, with a HT rotor, timing around 40-45. You are actually slightly over-geared for a buggy! let-alone the truck that is both A) much heavier, and B) has a DRASTICALLY higher roll-out due to it's giant tires.
I too have struggled to find the right gear ratio. Running a fantom ion short stack, currently running 25/78 with a slipper eliminator and 50-55 of timing. It feels like it lacks low end acceleration.
