I am thinking about getting one of these for bashing. Every time I drive my belt drive TCs at the local school, I get pebbles in the gears. So I want something with a sealed drivetrain. TT-02 is close, but the stock steering and shocks are primitive. HPI RS4 Sport 3 looks like it would work, but I don't care to pay for RTR electronics I would throw away.

XV-01 seems like a great choice, but the stock FDR is so high! I want it to be fast with the various 21.5t motors I have from USGT, F1, & TCS Mini. So I want as low of an FDR as I can get.

From reading the various 64p gear combos in this thread, it looks like the biggest pinion that fits nicely is a 52t, and the smallest total teeth combo I see is 82t+46t which is 128t. So I should be able to fit 76t spur / 52t pinion. That would give me a 3.8 FDR, which is in the ballpark of what I run at our local asphalt track with a 170' straight.

Am I crazy?
