Thanks to all who replied! When I started out that day I had the car geared with a 120:38 ratio and that was hot. In order to run the motor cooler, I switched to the 128:37 ratio and it still ran hot. It's a brand new motor and therefore never been properly broken in. Now, like I said the motor was extremely hot. I mean to the point where you couldn't even touch it for one second. I'm afraid to gear that thing up to a 41 tooth pinion. You know, the stock setting in the instructions say to install the 120 spur and the pinion is set at 45. Hmmmm...makes me wonder. I thought that the gearing was too high and the motor would melt at the ratio. I will back at the track this Saturday and test some more. I'll even try my P2K2 motor and see how that thing runs.
