I would agree with JayL and the instructions. Higher bite asphalt and carpet, the transverse in my experience has been faster. Steering is much more direct in feeling and aggressive. In low bite, inline has proved to be faster. Lets say on a parking lot type track that may be a little on the dusty side. I like the option to run either/Or while most other cars don't give you the option.
