I remember when the car was popular it out it seemed to be about the same time when people (at least I) was switching to brushless/lipo...I remember the car was hot, and people were venting parts of the chassis to run them...gearing as well.
Seems if tamiya would re-release it with a very simple double deck FRP/carbon/graphite reinforced plastic plate(s) chassis....it would take off.
It was already fun to drive, relatively easy as well.
Oh well...I'm dreaming..
