I don't know why I did not notice this when I did the original build on my 413 last year, but I am building a second center diff and went back to the manual to make sure I was doing everything right. I noticed that there is no shim shown in the manual for the center diff. The front and rear diff show a shim on the ring gear side. The question is, why did I get a shim in my center diff kit? Is there supposed to be one installed? I mean is the manual wrong or is the kit wrong?
