Stock TRF 417 dilemma. Throw money and Smokem parts at the 417 or get another 419.
Background: I just got a 419 for 17.5 TC to replace my totally stock 417 (no suffix). Wow what an improvement with just the kit settings and parts. I could never get the 417 dialed. Now the 417 is a 21.5 USGT and it
still spins out and traction rolls.
So back to the dilemma. Just get rid of the 417 and get a second 419 for USGT or try some of the mods listed in this thread of four hundred posts.
Anyone compare a tricked-out 417 to a 419?
Which Smokem parts to make the 417 a good 21.5 USGT (good grip carpet)?
I'm thinking:
417MX chassis 81005 or 417-IIF 81009
417V7 Conversion 82011
Servo holder
or Tamiya hop-up part#42285
After posting this I looked up the Smokem and Raceberry conversions and can't find them for sale anywhere.
