run the timing to the max on positive side (this equates to about 35 degrees of timing) and run it at about a 3.8 to 4.0 for your smaller track. if your tp motor was at 4.15 then a trackstar you can put a little bit more gear to it since it does not have as much timing built into them. they have alot of torque so you can gear them up a bit more. try a 3.8 to 3.9 to start and them monitor temps. try to stay under 130. thats my goal with these. they run the best under 130 degrees.
