gear it up some more. go to a 3.8. it should top out at about 3/4 to 7/8th of the straight. your speed will go up alot and lap times will improve also. its under geared. but...add a fan for sure. a cooler motor means less resistance and more power! Heat makes resistance thus limiting power flow in the motor. keep em cool as you can. good luck. i love these motors.
