I have to ask, did you mix up the hex pin and the cva pin?
I didn't mix anything up, I opened each bag step by step and it had two pins but they are different, one was correct and one was the thinner type for the wheel hex. I had one in my parts bin from another kit but it was definitely the wrong one.
