I'm not a Fan boy of any brand by any means as all but 2 of my 7 ESC's are all different brands. Hobbywing is a brand and they don't make everyone's ESC's. There is an OEM manufacturer that probably makes the parts and assembles many of them for the different companies along with the HW stuff. They also don't have all the same internals as I've had to open my Orion, HW and speed passion at some point or another and there are many differences. The quality of the parts I'm sure is the most common. This is the way the hobby is, everything looks similar from the cars, the electronics to the tires. The difference is everyone makes the changes they see are an advantage to make them different and their own. Buy what you want and run it, if you don't like it try something different. It's your choice, don't let someone else dictate or make you feel ignorant for choosing what they feel is an inferior product. Anyways that all I'm saying on this topic.
