Also I only race so never ran a 3s but from what ive seen out of my buddies slash 4x4 on 3s that the 4k would be just too stupid fast with a 3s. Might start running into heat issues with that set up as well.

I would stay away from a 3s LiPo. It's ridiculously quick on a 2s. It'll be plenty for track use.
