If you were to use them right now you would use the AKA evo series or pro-line also makes some 2.4 tires. JC will be coming out with the 2.4 size in the various treads / compounds as well. You can also trim the bead off of the 2.2 tires to use them on a 2.4 wheel but this should be left to the more experienced individuals. As far as weight, it will reduce static weight but the main improvement will be rotational.
If you reduce the weight of the wheel/tire assembly, you will have reduced the actual weight of the assembly, effectively reducing unsprung weight and rotational mass all at the same time

60mm = 2.3622inches. Not quite the 2.4 of AKA and Proline.
Our wheel is actually 2.4" (60.96mm), but 60mm sounds/looks better in print
Our new tire is actually a true 60mm so that it fits the wheel better/tighter for easier gluing
