The front and rear bulkheads are the same distant apart. if the rear diff fits in the rear, then it will fit in the front. if it doesn't then it's something you're doing wrong. check that you are using the same cams on both sides of the diff. they should be set to the same height on both sides and be in the same tension setting or your diff will sit at an angle.
In addition... place the diff in the bulkheads first and make sure it spins freely. then install the bearing caps and once again make sure it spins freely. If it does, the problem lies elsewhere. Take it one step at a time until either the binding returns or the problem is resolved. Don't bother attaching the belt until the diffs/spool spins freely. you should be able to isolate the problem pretty easily this way.
