Wow, this is going back a way! On the topic of price though, I wish that manufacturers like Kyosho offered MORE expensive kits that included all the optional bits at a bundled price. This would save people like me money as I'll inevitably buy everything anyway. I can only imagine the kit a manufacturer could put together for the $1400- or so I have invested in my RB6 (not including electronics, spares etc, just the rolling chassis!) . But I guess it's easier to stomach a bunch of smaller purchases for the consumer and this also generates more profit for the supply chain...

What would be really cool would be to spec your own kit using a list of options for each part based on your budget and requirements!
