What's the actual count on people with spur gear issues? If I recall correctly, there were no more than 5 or 6 who posted in this thread.
The spur gear is the weakest link in the drivetrain. I fully expect it to fail. The when depends on who set the mesh, how you drive and the traction available. I think this "situation" is being blown WAY out of proportion. T.Deguzman is likely refraining from jumping in on this for fear of the shitstorm that would cause. Chill out, parts are coming, and I'm sure they'll get the "defect," or whatever you'd like to call it rectified. It's summertime any way. Just make sure kits and parts are available come early September.
