Bummer, I was hoping to use the charger to discharge the batts but it looks like I'll have rig up something else.

The GFX will not go down low enough to discharge.
You need to be at a 3A discharge rate.
At 10A (min. GFX) I don't think you'll see anything, the discharge would be done so quickly.
