I'm curious about this question too. When I manually spin the spur, it moves as smoothly as any of my other cars (I don't feel any binding). But the car does make more noise than other cars I've heard in the past. Then again, this is my first car with gear diffs and when I hold one tire to hear the diff, the whine gets even louder. So I was going to assume that it was normal.
